Allocation of Reception Class Places

Applying for a school place is available by applying on-line via OMBC (www.oldham.gov.uk/admissions). Letters from the school admissions team will be forwarded directly to parents by Oldham Local Authority (LA) and will advise parents of the process and timescales in wich to apply.

The majority of Oldham libraries have Customer Information Points who have trained staff able to support any parents who do not have a PC or internet access. The PC’s in the libraries to access the Oldham Council website are free and parents do not need to be a library member.

The allocation of Reception class places is made solely by Oldham LA and you must apply on-line for Reception class places.

Attendance at a school nursery is NOT an admission to the school and is NOT a guarantee of a place in Reception. All parents MUST make a separate application for admission to the Reception Class.
